Admission
to 16th batch PG Certificate Course for Professional Development:
PGCCPD
course has been designed to provide soft skills to enable candidates
to compete for jobs in open market and for higher studies in institutions
of national repute. CREST, formerly the Centre of Excellence –
Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has conducted thirteen
PGCCPD programmes since 2002 and a large number of the alumni
are now employed in reputed firms in India and abroad. Many of
the alumni are pursuing higher studies in universities in India
and abroad.
The
five months certificate course comprises of training in Employability
Enhancement, Personality Development, Communication Skills , IT,
Quantitative & Analytical Skills, General Awareness and Entrepreneurship
Development.
Out
of the forty seats available for the course, 28 are reserved for
SC, 8 for ST and 4 for OEC/OBC. Admission is based on
Degree level marks and interview. Masters/ Professional
Degree holders will be given preference. If eligible candidates
from ST/OEC/OBC classes are not available, the seats will
be filled up by eligible SC candidates. Selected candidates will
be given a monthly stipend of Rs.5,000/-.
Selected
candidates are required to report at the Centre for Research
and Education for Social Transformation (CREST), KIRTADS campus,
Calicut at 11.00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 01, 2011 with
one of your parents. There is an interactive
session with parents at 11:30 a.m
To and fro travel expense (2nd class train fare or bus fare) of the accompanying parent will be reimbursed.
Please
bring the following documents in original:
1. Admission offer letter
2. Marklists and certificates of the Degree Examination (BA/B.Sc/ B.Com/B.Tech etc.)
3. Marklists and certificates of the PG Examination (MA/M.Sc M Tech etc.) if any.
4. SSLC or equivalent certificate in proof of age
5. Caste/Community certificate issued by the competent authority
6. T.C and Conduct Certificate
7. Any other relevant testimonial
A
monthly stipend of Rs.5, 000/- will be paid to selected candidates
after one month from the date of admission. In case candidates are
fail to report on Wednesday, June 01, 2011, it will be presumed
that they are not joining the course. The resultant vacant seat
will be filled up with another eligible candidate from the rank
list.
